The daughter from Timotheus’s first marriage, which ended suddenly when his wife disappeared mysteriously over night. Just like her cousins, Winifred has a winning and open personality, is sociable, and of a cheerful disposition. Upon a first encounter she can appear to be somewhat shy and reticent, but those that make her acquaintance remember her as a unique, refreshing and charming young lady with an inquisitive mind.
Winifred brightens our lives again. She challenges perception, showing that a rosé can be so much more than “just” a rosé. A colour is not just a colour. Pure wine from terroir, vivacious in the surface, but with depth and complexity beneath. Her energy, passion and understanding helps us to see the world in a new light. To eat, drink and live in harmony with the seasons and make responsible choices. Find the right balance. That’s the lesson we can learn from Winifred.
Region
The Burgenland wine region is located in eastern Austria, bordering Hungary to the east. It is one of Austria’s leading wine-producing areas and is known for its diverse range of high-quality wines. The region is characterized by a continental climate, with warm summers and cold winters, and a variety of soil types that contribute to the unique terroir of the wines produced there.
It also has a rich history and has made significant strides in improving the quality of its wines in recent years. The region’s commitment to sustainable and innovative winemaking practices has garnered international recognition for its unique and exceptional wines.
Vinification
Grapes are hand harvested and destemmed. This vineyard is used just to make a rosé, so there is no saignee from a red wine. Fermentation takes place in used 500, 1000 and 1500-liter barrels. The wine goes through elevage in 500-liter barrels for about 8 months, with no batonnage. The wine is bottled unfined, unfiltered, and with zero addition of sulfur. Certified Organic & Biodynamic.

Is there a minimum order?
There are no minimum orders however, there is a minimum order if you want to benefit from free delivery. For free delivery, the minimum order is €50.00.
Do you deliver?
Yes, we offer a delivery service to the address you have indicated in the order form. Orders for a box €50.00 or more benefit from free delivery. If the order is for less than a €50.00 a delivery charge may be applied, and will be calculated and added to your order on check-out.
Do you refund?
All sales are final, and no refunds given. The only exception is if there is a fault to the wine.
How do I store the wine?
It is up to you to properly store the wine after receiving delivery. The recommended storage is in a dark place, away from movements or vibrations, and at a temperature between 10 and 15 degrees Celsius. This temperature varies from the recommended serving temperature, which varies according to the type of wine you will be consuming.
Do you stock vegan or no-added-sulphur wines?
Yes, at Holy Wines, we stock wines which contain no added sulphur, and which are vegan. These are indicated in the product information on this website.
