Personality
Quite recently new vineyards became ours with new field blends of our own – the Maskarade. From the start, we instilled our principles and approaches to viticulture. But these vineyards are still learning. Holding a tiny bit of their beautiful personality
and character back. Still hiding their true self from us. We’re not quite sure who the person behind the mask is or is going to be. Only after they have revealed themselves fully, they will become part of the family. So, our Maskerade wines capture a wonderful ephemeral moment. A snapshot in time, along a journey of discovery. Never to be experienced the same way again.
Region
The Burgenland wine region is located in eastern Austria, bordering Hungary to the east. It is one of Austria’s leading wine-producing areas and is known for its diverse range of high-quality wines. The region is characterized by a continental climate, with warm summers and cold winters, and a variety of soil types that contribute to the unique terroir of the wines produced there.
It also has a rich history and has made significant strides in improving the quality of its wines in recent years. The region’s commitment to sustainable and innovative winemaking practices has garnered international recognition for its unique and exceptional wines.
Vinification
Grapes are partly skin-fermented, partly direct-pressed. Blended and spontaneously fermented and then aged in bigger wooden barrels. The wine is bottled unfined, unfiltered, and with zero addition of sulfur. Certified Organic.
Ideal drinking temperature 10 °C.

Free deliveries to Malta are only made upon a minimum purchase of €50.00 For deliveries to Gozo please contact Holy Wines on adrian@holywines.com.mt to discuss this further.
Once orders are placed, please allow 3 working days for delivery. In exceptional cases of urgency, please call +35679539865 to check whether a quicker delivery can be arranged.
Please supply valid contact details and delivery addresses so that your order may be processed.
Once you place your order, the system will send you a confirmation email containing the details of your order. Please check that those details are correct.
Is there a minimum order?
There are no minimum orders however, there is a minimum order if you want to benefit from free delivery. For free delivery, the minimum order is €50.00.
Do you deliver?
Yes, we offer a delivery service to the address you have indicated in the order form. Orders for a box €50.00 or more benefit from free delivery. If the order is for less than a €50.00 a delivery charge may be applied, and will be calculated and added to your order on check-out.
Do you refund?
All sales are final, and no refunds given. The only exception is if there is a fault to the wine.
How do I store the wine?
It is up to you to properly store the wine after receiving delivery. The recommended storage is in a dark place, away from movements or vibrations, and at a temperature between 10 and 15 degrees Celsius. This temperature varies from the recommended serving temperature, which varies according to the type of wine you will be consuming.
Do you stock vegan or no-added-sulphur wines?
Yes, at Holy Wines, we stock wines which contain no added sulphur, and which are vegan. These are indicated in the product information on this website.
