Personality
The son of Mechthild and Bartholdi, and the brother of Joshuari and Timotheus. He is the bird of paradise in the Oggau vineyard family and a globetrotter, whose fascinating and interesting personality has a phenomenal effect on women. His main characterstics are his good sense of humor and athletic build. He still believes firmly that he is the father of Wiltrude’s daughter Theodora.
Whenever Emmeram is around, he delights us with his dry humour and open-minded attitude to life. Elusive in nature, still he spices up our lives with his charming character and unique expressions of the limestone terroir where he grew. He’s simultaneously humble and supremely self-assured.
Head in the clouds and feet in the ground. Through his eyes we see the world in a brighter light. Re-evaluating, re-thinking, understanding that what’s right for us, might not be right for another. So, let Emmeram be an example to all of us. To live without prejudice and enjoy the unpredictability and beauty of nature with every sip you take.
Region
The Burgenland wine region is located in eastern Austria, bordering Hungary to the east. It is one of Austria’s leading wine-producing areas and is known for its diverse range of high-quality wines. The region is characterized by a continental climate, with warm summers and cold winters, and a variety of soil types that contribute to the unique terroir of the wines produced there.
It also has a rich history and has made significant strides in improving the quality of its wines in recent years. The region’s commitment to sustainable and innovative winemaking practices has garnered international recognition for its unique and exceptional wines.
Vinification
Grapes are hand harvested and destemmed. Fermentation takes place in used 500-liter barrels. The wine stays in these barrels for an elevage of about 12 months, with no batonnage. The wine is bottled unfined, unfiltered, and with zero addition of sulfur. Certified Organic & Biodynamic.
Ideal serving temperature 10ºC.

Is there a minimum order?
There are no minimum orders however, there is a minimum order if you want to benefit from free delivery. For free delivery, the minimum order is €50.00.
Do you deliver?
Yes, we offer a delivery service to the address you have indicated in the order form. Orders for a box €50.00 or more benefit from free delivery. If the order is for less than a €50.00 a delivery charge may be applied, and will be calculated and added to your order on check-out.
Do you refund?
All sales are final, and no refunds given. The only exception is if there is a fault to the wine.
How do I store the wine?
It is up to you to properly store the wine after receiving delivery. The recommended storage is in a dark place, away from movements or vibrations, and at a temperature between 10 and 15 degrees Celsius. This temperature varies from the recommended serving temperature, which varies according to the type of wine you will be consuming.
Do you stock vegan or no-added-sulphur wines?
Yes, at Holy Wines, we stock wines which contain no added sulphur, and which are vegan. These are indicated in the product information on this website.
